AI-Augmented Education
"AI should make sharp minds sharper, never lazier."
At RAND Corporation, Cropper designed AI storytelling curricula for world-class researchers, teaching them to use machine intelligence as a force multiplier for human insight rather than a substitute for it.
The dominant education model, content delivery, is obsolete. The future is curiosity orchestration: AI systems that detect intellectual hunger and feed it with precision.
Learning becomes a designed experience, with narrative arcs, emotional pacing, and personalized challenge. Curiosity is the new literacy.
Teaching the World's Researchers to Tell the Future
In 2025, Cropper partnered with the RAND Corporation, one of the world's most influential policy research institutions, to design and lead a bespoke AI storytelling course for world-renowned researchers, analysts, and scientists.
The program reframed AI not as an answer machine but as a thinking partner: a tool to pressure-test hypotheses, surface hidden patterns, and translate dense, technical findings into narratives that move decision-makers and the public alike.
Researchers learned to pair rigorous evidence with narrative craft, building arcs, framing stakes, and shaping language so that landmark work lands with the clarity and emotional weight it deserves. The result: science that doesn't just get published, but gets understood and acted upon.
Listening to the Researchers
Cropper embedded with RAND analysts and scientists to map how their landmark findings actually traveled, and where rigor was being lost in translation between the lab and the world.
Designing the Narrative System
He built a repeatable storytelling framework that pairs evidentiary rigor with narrative arcs, stakes, and framing, turning AI into a thinking partner for shaping arguments rather than an answer machine.
Building the AI Storytelling Course
The framework became a structured, hands-on curriculum: prompt craft, hypothesis pressure-testing, pattern surfacing, and translating dense technical work into language decision-makers can act on.
Teaching World-Renowned Researchers
Cropper led world-class researchers through live sessions, refining their real work in real time, so science gets not just published, but understood and acted upon.
