Fuller
"Do more with less."
Buckminster Fuller thought in whole systems and planetary leverage. He coined 'ephemeralization' — the trend of accomplishing ever more with ever fewer resources — and treated scarcity as a design failure, not a fact.
He looked for the smallest intervention that could move the largest system: the trim-tab on the rudder of the world.
Think whole systems
Nothing is solved in isolation; everything connects.
Ephemeralize
More function, less material — that is the direction of progress.
Find the trim-tab
The smallest leverage point can turn the largest ship.
Reframe scarcity
Most shortages are design problems in disguise.
He zooms out to the whole system, finds the highest-leverage intervention, and reframes your constraint as a design opportunity.
